When learning with an Independent Flight Instructor, you can take full advantage of the flexibility that Part 61 can offer, with a training focused on your specific needs and style of learning, within your schedule and pace, out of multiple airports in the Seattle area.
Why Training with us?
Different than a traditional flight school, we have no more than 2 students at a given time. This means availability and personalization. No need to schedule lessons months in advance (we can schedule a lesson in the same week)! Your instructor will be with you from the beginning to the end, for a superior, individualized and high-quality training experience.

My aviation journey started in the early 2000s: After graduating in Mechanical Engineering and finishing a Master degree in Aeronautical Engineering, I started working for Embraer in their Regional Jets platform. Fast forward few years, I found myself living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, where I learned to fly and became a CFI, instructing at Galvin Flying. My passion for flying and teaching led me to write a preparatory book for the FAA Practical Test in 2024 (“Commercial Instrument Pilot“, available on Amazon). I am an AOPA/SAFE member, participant in the Horizon Air Pilot Development Program, and have experience flying the Cessnas 172, 152, Diamond DA-40 and the Pipistrel Alpha Trainer. Besides flying, I am a FAA-Certified Repairman of Light-Sport airplanes, certified by ROTAX on the 9-Series engines for service and maintenance, and currently building a Vans RV-12iS. I am also a member of the ASTM F37 committee (Light Sport Airplanes), collaborating with the new consensus standards for MOSAIC/FAA.

Aircraft
We own a state of the art, brand new SLSA 2024 Pipistrel Alpha Trainer, one of the best new generation platforms available in the market for flight training today. Owned by Textron (the same manufacturer of the Cessnas and Beechcraft), Pipistrel is a modern all-composite airplane maker with more than 30 years of history. The Alpha Trainer is a Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAA), 2-seater light sport airplane with modern avionics (Garmin G3X Touch, GNX375 GPS Navigator, VOR/ILS Receiver, G5 and Garmin Autopilot) and it has a ballistic parachute, which allows the airplane to return to the ground safely in scenarios where other airplanes can’t, giving an additional peace-of-mind and extra layer of safety.
Simulator
Accelerate your flight training with our on-site FAA-Approved Redbird TD Flight Simulator. Approved as a Basic Aviation Training Device, the Redbird TD allows you to master instrument procedures, practice emergency scenarios, and keep your skills sharp.
- Logable Time: Credit up to 10 hours toward your Instrument Rating.
- Efficiency: Practice holds, approaches, and system failures in a controlled environment.
- Maintain Currency: Fly IFR approaches, holding patterns, SIDs and STARs for currency and proficiency.
